Kiansee was founded by Maryam, a licensed child care professional with over five years of experience working in licensed child care settings, including in a management role within the North Shore Neighbourhood House. Her experience supporting children and families has informed a strong understanding of the importance of safety, consistency, and responsive care during early childhood.

Maryam established Kiansee to provide a calm, nurturing environment that supports learning through play, positive guidance, and predictable routines. The program is grounded in developmentally appropriate practices that encourage curiosity, exploration, and skill development through play-based experiences. This approach supports children’s social, emotional, and early learning development while respecting individual needs and stages of growth.

As the founder and lead educator, Maryam is actively involved in the daily operation of the program and the care of each child. Her leadership, organization, and commitment to attentive supervision, structured routines, and respectful interactions contribute to a supportive environment where children feel secure, engaged, and ready to learn.
